Indianapolis Colts RB Roles
Team: Indianapolis Colts
Last Update:   4/27/2025
RB Overview
Role Security: Very High
04/27/25- Jonathan Taylor is the lead back after averaging 23 carries and 2 targets from Week 11 on along with 67% of the red zone work. Taylor should continue to get as much work as he can handle. 5th round rookie, Khalil Herbert and Tyler Goodson will compete for the work that Taylor cannot handle.
WR Overview
04/27/25- Michael Pittman is the No. 1 WR and was averaging 7.5 targets from Week 11 on and he could see similar volume this year. The No. 2 WR is Josh Downs, who was not far behind Pittman with 7 targets per game. The No. 3 WR is Alec Pierce, who was seeing 5 times per game and should reprise his downfield role. Adonai Mitchell will likely be the No. 4 unless he can push Pierce in camp.
TE Overview
04/27/25- Tyler Warren was selected in the first round of his year's draft and should be the lead TE. The big question is how many targets he'll see on a run heavy offense that has a trio of good WRs.
