Kansas City Chiefs RB Roles
Team: Kansas City Chiefs
Last Update:   4/27/2025
RB Overview
Role Security: Medium
04/27/25- If Isiah Pacheco is fully recovered from the broken fibula he returned from last year, he could easily dominate snaps and touches in this year's backfield. Kareem Hunt hasn't been an efficient runner in years, but if Pacheco is not bacl to full health, Hunt will take on volume. Otherwise, he may see change-of-pace work. Elijah Mitchell and Brashard Smith will likely compete for depth work.
WR Overview
04/27/25- Rashee Rice is still awaiting word on his possible league discipline from last year's legal situation. If he's on the field, Rice should be the No. 1 WR and see significant targets. Xavier Worthy was needed as the lead WR down the stretch in 2024, but if Rice is on the field, Worthy is best suited for the No.2 role. Marquise Brown made his season debut in Week 16 after a 2024 preseason injury, but the team had big plans for him before the injury. Brown could see significant work at the No. 3 WR. jalen Royals and JuJu Smith-Schuster should compete for snaps.
TE Overview
04/27/25- Travis Kelce is the lead TE and is averaged 8.5 targets from Week 11 on last year, but if the Chiefs' WRs are all healthy, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Kelce's targets drastically reduced in 2025. The No. 2 TE is Noah Gray, who will see occasional targets.
