RB Overview
Role Security: High
7/28/25 - De’Von Achane enters 2025 as the projected lead running back after averaging 13 carries, 6 targets, and a 54% red-zone rate over the second half of last season. Despite an unimpressive rookie year, Jaylen Wright is expected to open training camp as the primary change-of-pace option. Alexander Mattison and sixth-round rookie Ollie Gordon will compete for rotational touches and could push Wright for the No. 2 role.
WR Overview
7/28/25 - Tyreek Hill is expected to retain his status as the top wide receiver after averaging 9 targets per game from Week 11 on in 2024. Jaylen Waddle, who averaged 8 targets from Week 12 before suffering a knee injury in Week 15, will be the No. 2 option if healthy. Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are in line to compete for the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, while Dee Eskridge and Erik Ezukanma add depth to the receiver room.
TE Overview
7/28/25 - Julian Hill returns is the nominal lead TE after the trade of Jonnu Smith. Darren Waller was acquired after the Dolphins traded away Jonnu Smith. If Waller is in football shape and still productive after spending a year retired, Waller could be the lead pass-catching TE.
