New England Patriots RB Roles
Team: New England Patriots
Last Update:   4/28/2025
RB Overview
Role Security: High
04/28/25- The Patriots drafted TreVeyon Henderson in the second round of this year's draft, and he should take over the as the lead RB. Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled seven times last season, and will need to clean up his ball security in order see significant work as the No. 2 RB. Antonio Gibson could see time on passing downs as the No. 3 RB.
WR Overview
04/28/25- Stefon DIggs was singed in free agency, and although he's expected to play often in the slot, he profiles as the No. 1 WR on the team. Kayshon Boutte and third-round draft pick Kyle Williams should compete for the outside receiver roles. DeMario Douglas was heavily used in the past, but he is a slot WR, and if Diggs is expected to play the slot, Douglas could have an odd role where he falls to the No. 4 option. Kendrick Bourne and Mack Hollins will provide depth.
TE Overview
04/28/25- Hunter Henry should remain the lead TE after averaging 6.5 targets from Week 11 in 2024. The No. 2 TE is Austin Hooper, who averaged 4 targets from Week 10 last year.
