RB Overview
Role Security: Medium
04/28/25- The Chargers drafted Omarion Hampton in the first round of this year's draft after paying Najee Harris starter money in free agency. Coach Jim Harbaugh said after the draft that they have two lead RBs. Both will likely see plenty of work. Given the draft capital spent on Hampton while the commitment to Harris was for just one year, Hampton may see an edge in work between the two. Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins will compete for depth snaps.
WR Overview
04/28/25- Ladd McConkey will remain the No. 1 WR after being targeted an average of 9 times from Week 13 on as a rookie. The Chargers used a second-round pick to select Tre Harris, which should give him the inside track on the No. 2 WR role. Although Quentin Johnston, was seeing 7 targets per game from Week 11 on, he was an inconsistent player, and he'll likely battle with free-agent signee Mike Williams for the No. 3 and No. 4 roles. Jalen Reagor and KeAndre Lambert-Smith will compete for depth roles.
TE Overview
04/28/25- Will Dissly and free-agent signee Tyler Conklin will likely battle for the lead TE role. Also, the Chargers drafted receiving specialist Oronde Gadsden in the fifth round- he could carve out a role as a receiver.
