RB Overview
Role Security: High
04/27/25- Chase Brown took on a workhorse role in 2024 after Zack Moss suffered a season-ending neck injury. Brown's 229 carries, 65 targets and 50% red zone share may or may not be repeatable. Moss was ineffective and his role was in decline before the neck injury. If he returns, there's no guarantee he sees a substantial role. In free agency, the team signed Samaje Perine, and he could see significant work as a passing-down specialist. Finally, the Bengals used a sixth-round pick to as Tahj Brooks. With a strong training camp, he could easrn work as an early-down runner.
WR Overview
04/27/25- Ja'Marr Chase was targeted 175 times in 2024, and we should expect similar usage this season. Tee Higgins is the No. 2 and saw 109 targets in 12 games. The No. 3 WR is Andrei Iosivas, who received 61 targets, and he is set to reprise that role again. Jermaine Burton and Charlie Jones will compete for work.
TE Overview
04/27/25- The Bengals didn't give tight ends consistent usage in 2024, and there's no sign things will be different in 2025. Mike Gesicki led the team with 83 targets with wild swings in volume from week'to-week. Erick All suffered a season-ending ACL injury and his return this season is in question. While All is out, Drew Sample and Tanner Hudson will see work.
