RB Overview
Role Security: Medium
7/28/25 -Kaleb Johnson was drafted in the third round and should handle early downs and short-yardage work. Jaylen Warren is expected to continue his change-of-pace and receiving role. Kenneth Gainwell and Cordarrelle Patterson will compete for depth snaps.
WR Overview
7/28/25 -DK Metcalf was acquired via trade and should operate as the top receiver in a run-heavy offense. Calvin Austin appears to be the early favorite for the No. 2 role. Roman Wilson, Ben Skowronek and Scotty Miller will battle for the remaining wideout spots.
TE Overview
7/28/25 -Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth are likely to be on the field often in an offense that uses multiple TEs more than most teams in the NFL. It would appear that Smith would have the edge in target volume, but Freiermuth still should command 40% of the TE targets with Smith seeing more.
