RB Overview
Role Security: High
04/27/25- James Cook had 207 carries, 38 targets and a 42.5% red zone share last year. Although he'll remain the lead RB, his workload may not rise much beyond 2024 levels. Ty Johnson was the No. 2 RB with 41 rushes, 25 targets and a 7% red zone share. He'll likely resume a receiving RB role in 2025. Ray Davis would likely take over lead RB duties if Cook misses time. Otherwise, when all 3 RBs are healthy, Davis will battle for touches with Johnson.
WR Overview
04/27/25- Despite playing mostly in the slot, Khalil Shakir was targeted 100 times in 2024, making him the de facto No. 1 WR. He should remain heavily involved in the slot again in 2025. Keon Coleman will be the No. 2 WR, but he is No. 1 on the outside after being targeted 57 times in 13 games. His role could expand in his second NFL season. Newly acquired Josh Palmer projects to be the No. 3 WR, though he could battle for snaps/targets with No. 4 WR Curtis Samuel. Laviska Shenault, KJ Hamler and others will compete for depth roles.
TE Overview
04/27/25- Dalton Kincaid was targeted 75 times in 13 games, and despite a disappointing 2024 season, he should remain the primary pass-catching TE. Dawson Knox projects to remain the No. 2 TE after seeing a career-low 33 targets last year.
