Guglielmo Vicario ($5.1m) : Spurs Keeper with Save & Bonus Potential
Vicario comes in as a premium keeper but not at the most expensive budget. This season, he's kept three clean sheets from five league matches.
An important factor for FPL is the number of saves that he's made, racking up a save point in four of the five matches. In a low-scoring game, he could be set up for bonus points, as he's already picked up five bonus points this season. Spurs have a great run of fixtures coming up, with Wolves and Leeds in the next two before they play Aston Villa in Gameweek 8, a team struggling to find confidence in front of net.
Riccardo Calafiori ($5.7m) : Arsenal's Set-Piece Threat at Left-Back
The Arsenal defence has been incredibly strong this season, and despite having had a difficult set of opening fixtures, they've only conceded two goals and kept three clean sheets. Calafiori has taken the mantle as the starting left-back and has enjoyed a sense of attacking freedom on that side.
He's taken three shots in three separate games and scored the only goal in the opener against Manchester United from a set piece. That's where his attacking threat becomes important, as Arsenal are one of the stronger teams from corners.
Antoine Semenyo ($7.7m) : Most Transferred-In FPL Midfielder
Semenyo is the most transferred-in player in FPL this season, gaining $0.7m from his original $7.0m starting price. Similar to last season, he's opened hot, and with players like Florian Wirtz underperforming and early-season injuries to Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka, he's been worth the price.
He's scored three goals and provided two assists from five matches. Only Erling Haaland has scored more goals in the league, while only four players have provided more than two assists.
Semenyo picked up defensive contribution points in the most recent game against Newcastle when he failed to secure an attacking return in a scoreless draw.
Between now and Gameweek 14, Bournemouth will only play Manchester City from last season's top four. In the next three gameweeks, they'll face Leeds, Fulham and Crystal Palace, and Semenyo has a chance to continue his good form.
Viktor Gyokeres ($9.0m) and Joao Pedro ($7.8m)
This is the perfect pair to perform alongside the top scorer in the league, Erling Haaland.
Gyokeres, Arsenal's Penalty-Taking Forward
Gyokeres has shown his danger when not playing against the top teams, and Arsenal already have fixtures against Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United out of the way. From the other two games, he's scored three goals and taken over penalty duties.
Once Arsenal play Newcastle in Gameweek 6, they have a great run of fixtures with West Ham, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Burnley and Sunderland. Gyokeres has taken seven shots in the two games against the non-big-six sides. He also managed four shots in Arsenal's Champions League game against Athletic Bilbao.
Joao Pedro, Chelsea's Creative Outlet
Joao Pedro has impressed in all areas this season with two goals and three assists. With injuries to Cole Palmer and Liam Delap, his importance to Chelsea will only increase. Only Jack Grealish has provided more assists than Pedro in the league, and his positioning in Chelsea's corners has been particularly important for his returns.
In Gameweek 6, he faces his former side Brighton, and a style of play between the two will likely lead to open attacks and plenty of goals.
