2025 Fantasy Outlook
Fresh off winning the Defensive Player of the Year award, Mobley also earned Second-Team All-NBA and All-Star honors for the first time in his career last season. He was an integral part of a Cleveland squad that finished with the best regular-season record in the Eastern Conference. Despite falling flat in the playoffs again, the Cavaliers are running it back in 2025-26, with a few minor changes. They replaced Ty Jerome with Lonzo Ball, while adding Larry Nance to shore up their frontcourt depth. Versatility is Mobley's strong suit, but his upside is tied to his three-point development, which showed significant improvement in 2024-25. In 2023-24, Mobley appeared in a career-low 50 regular-season games, but he shot 37 percent from deep on 1.2 attempts per game. He upped his tries from beyond the arc to 3.2 a night last season and maintained his percentage, helping him reach a new level. Mobley has also improved his efficiency from the charity stripe, shooting 72 percent over the past two campaigns while posting a career-high 4.3 attempts per game last season. The upgrade to his outside shot is notable, but there's still plenty of room for Mobley to grow in that department, and it's unclear if it's sustainable yet. Regardless, Mobley has averaged at least 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 stocks in each of his first four NBA campaigns, giving him a strong fantasy floor. Read Past Outlooks
Sidelined for at least two weeks
Mobley sustained a Grade 1 left calf strain during the Cavaliers' 130-126 win over the Wizards on Friday.
ANALYSIS
The good news for Mobley is that the strain isn't severe enough to warrant a long absence, but the All-Star forward is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks while rehabbing from his calf injury. Dean Wade, Thomas Bryant and Nae'Qwan Tomlin are all slated to see more minutes for as long as Mobley is sidelined.

2021
The No. 3 overall pick in 2021, Mobley has failed to take a significant statistical stride forward since his first campaign. As a rookie, Mobley averaged 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.8 steals. Last season, Mobley finished with 15.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 0.9 steals. There's been a slight improvement, but nothing that's catapulted him up fantasy rankings. He finished outside the top 100 players in eight-category leagues last year after appearing in only 50 regular-season games, despite logging career-high shooting percentages across the board -- 58.0/37.3/71.9. Mobley still has room for growth on the offensive end and has solidified himself as a premier defender, earning All-Defensive First Team honors in 2022-23. The Cavaliers clearly believe Mobley has more room to grow as well, as they gave the USC product a five-year, $224 million extension this offseason. With Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell leading the offense and Jarrett Allen anchoring the paint, Mobley isn't in a position to be a statistical superstar, but that doesn't mean he can't return value in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Poised to take leap
Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman said Mobley is ready to take the next step as a player, according to Rock Entertainment Sports Network.
ANALYSIS
"He's been locked in," Altman said. "He's really serious about taking that leap to being a top five player in this league." Altman added that Mobley might be 24, but he's been carrying himself like a "grown man" this offseason while leading the offseason workouts. Mobley, who was the 2024-25 Defensive Player of the Year on top of being selected to the 2024-25 All-NBA Second Team, will be heavily sought after in fantasy drafts for obvious reasons.
