UFC Vegas 108: MMA Betting Picks and Odds Insight
The UFC is back at the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, August 2, for UFC Vegas 108. The main event sees flyweight contenders throw down as Tatsuro Taira takes on Hyun Sung Park.
Below, I'll share my UFC Vegas 108 predictions, including my favorite pick, an underdog, a prop and a two-fighter parlay. All UFC odds are via the DraftKings Sportsbook and are accurate as of the post date of this article.
Weight Class: Middleweight
Rodolfo Vieira (10-3) vs Tresean Gore (5-3)
Rodolfo Vieira returns on Saturday against Gore, and this is a good spot for Vieira to get his hand raised at UFC Vegas 108.
Vieira is one of the best grapplers in the UFC, while Gore is a fringe UFC fighter and is coming off a KO loss. Gore is 2-3 in the UFC, but both of his wins have come by submission. A submission won't come easy at all against the Brazilian.
Vieira will be a physically stronger fighter, as he will be able to get Gore down. Once on the ground, Vieira will be able to lock up a submission of his own to get back into the win column.

Weight Class: Welterweight
Neil Magny (29-13) vs Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (25-9-1)
For my underdog pick at UFC Vegas 108, I'm backing Neil Magny to get his hand raised.
Magny is coming off back-to-back first-round knockout losses to Carlos Prates and Michael Morales, as his chin is starting to go. However, this is a good step-down in competition, and dos Santos doesn't have as much power as them.
Magny should be able to control dos Santos on the ground and up against the fence using his clinch to make this a boring fight, but a necessary way for him to win. The veteran should avoid the big power shot to edge out a decision win as the underdog.

Weight Class: Bantamweight
Rinya Nakamura (9-1) vs Nathan Fletcher (9-2)
On the prelims of UFC Vegas 108 is an intriguing bantamweight bout, and I'm backing Rinya Nakamura to get his hand raised by decision.
Nakamura was a highly-touted Olympic-level wrestler, but he got a bit exposed in his last fight, losing to Muin Gafurov in a fight he didn't really wrestle in. Nakamura should learn from that and use his wrestling more often here, and this is a good fight for that.
Fletcher's takedown defense is subpar, as Nakamura should be able to get him down and control him on the ground to grind out a decision win.
UFC Vegas 108 Bet: Rinya Nakamura by decision (-125)

Weight Classes: Flyweight & lightweight
Tatsuro Taira (16-1) vs Hyun Sung Park (10-0)
Esteban Ribovics (14-2) vs Elves Brener (16-5)
For my parlay at UFC Vegas 108, I'm taking Tatsuro Taira and Esteban Ribovics to get their hands raised.
Taira is taking on Park in the main event, who took the fight on short notice. Taira is coming off his first career loss in a very close fight to Brandon Royval. Meanwhile, this is a massive step-up in competition for Park, who is 3-0, and all three wins are against borderline UFC fighters, as only Carlos Hernandez is on the roster still.
Taira is the much better grappler, as he should be able to control Park and secure either a TKO win or a submission win in the second or third round.
The other leg of the parlay is Ribovics to beat Elves Brener on the main card of UFC Vegas 108. Ribovics is coming off a very controversial split decision loss, which would have extended his win streak to four. Brenner, meanwhile, is on a two-fight losing streak and was beaten down in both fights.
Ribovics is the much better striker and should be able to outland Brenner and likely get a TKO win here.
