2025 Fantasy Outlook
After splitting snaps with fellow 2023 Day 2 pick Luke Musgrave as a rookie, Kraft started every game for the Packers in 2024 and played at least 79 percent of snaps in all but two of those. He broke out for 50 catches, 707 yards and seven touchdowns on 70 targets, while Musgrave missed 10 games with an ankle injury and drew just 10 targets in seven regular-season appearances. Kraft's most impressive trait was his elusiveness after the catch, with a 9.6 YAC average leading all qualified tight ends, well ahead of second-place George Kittle’s 7.3. Even with the assumption of some regression to his YAC numbers, Kraft has established himself as a key piece of a Packers passing game that figures to spread the ball around again in 2025 after having four players (Dontayvion Wicks, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Kraft) finish between 70 and 76 targets last season. Read Past Outlooks
Stellar production in Week 2 win
Kraft secured six of seven targets for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' 27-18 win over the Commanders on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kraft led Packers pass catchers across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets while authoring his first career 100-yard game, and Jayden Reed's first-quarter exit with a shoulder injury undoubtedly created some extra opportunity. The third-year tight end also had a game-high 57-yard reception on the third play of Green Bay's second drive of the night, and he struck for his second touchdown in as many games via an eight-yard scoring grab with just under nine minutes remaining in the contest. Kraft displayed plenty of field-stretching ability during a breakout 2024 season as well, so he'll remain a highly appealing play in all formats in a Week 3 road matchup against the Browns on Sunday, Sept. 21.

2024
2023
Kraft was drafted 78th overall by the Packers in 2023, 36 picks after fellow tight end Luke Musgrave. Kraft spent most of the season backing up Musgrave, but the rookie out of South Dakota State stepped up when Musgrave missed six games down the stretch due to a lacerated kidney, catching 23 of 30 targets for 281 yards and two touchdowns over the six-week span. In 13 other games, including two playoff contests, Kraft had 98 receiving yards and one TD. Both tight ends are likely to play prominent roles in 2024, seemingly limiting one another’s fantasy upside. Neither Kraft nor Musgrave finished top four on the Packers in targets last season, and even their combined total (86) over 1,089 snaps would've ranked only 14th among individual tight ends. Jordan Love has the potential to elevate Green Bay’s passing game, but his targets likely will be spread around between the two tight ends and three or four wide receivers. It doesn't help Kraft's cause that a torn pectoral has him on the sideline for offseason practices and may even threaten his availability for training camp.

Starting tenure off to good start
Kraft recorded a touchdown reception in the Packers' Thanksgiving Day win over the Lions, his first game in a starting role that could persist the rest of the season.
ANALYSIS
Rob Demovksy of ESPN.com reports that Luke Musgrave, who Kraft filled in for on Thursday, is not guaranteed to return this season after being placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a lacerated kidney. As such, Kraft, a fellow member of the 2023 draft class, has a chance to stake a claim to a primary pass-catching role at the tight end position. In his first extended opportunity to do so Thursday, the third-round pick from South Dakota brought in both targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's upset victory over Detroit.
