Moving to ATL
The Falcons agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Chark on Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Chark had a tryout with the Bears on Monday and then met with the Falcons to cap the week before finding his next home. In his only season with the Chargers in 2024, he was beset by injuries and made just eight appearances, including a wild-card loss at Houston, en route to five catches (on 14 targets) for 41 yards and one touchdown. The 28-year-old likely will be vying with Casey Washington, Jamal Agnew and Chris Blair, among others, for one of Atlanta's final WR spots as training camp and the preseason proceed.

Chark tied a career high with 15 appearances last season, after missing 22 games from 2020 to 2022. Not much else went right for him, with 35.0 yards per game being his worst average since his 2018 rookie season. Chark was only partly to blame, of course, as the Panthers offense was a complete disaster and coach Frank Reich insisted on putting overmatched rookie wideout Jonathan Mingo in a near-every-down role. Chark should be in a better situation this year, joining his fourth team in as many seasons, though his 2019 breakout in Jacksonville (73-1,008-8) is a distant memory that's vastly outweighed by the slew of ensuing mediocre seasons. While not assured of a starting role, Chark does at least have a decent chance at one after the Chargers got rid of WRs Mike Williams and Keenan Allen this offseason. The 27-year-old figures to compete for playing time with Joshua Palmer, 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston and 2024 second-rounder Ladd McConkey, in an offense directed by former Ravens coordinator Greg Roman.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Joins Falcons' receiver room
Chark agreed to a contract with the Falcons, who were seeking to augment their depth at wide receiver, on Friday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chark played in just seven regular-season games during his one campaign in Los Angeles in 2024, but he'd logged 21 total regular-season starts with the Lions and Panthers over the prior two years. While Atlanta's top three of Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud is set, there is plenty of uncertainty beyond that point on the depth chart. Mooney also suffered an undisclosed injury at Thursday's practice and did not return, furthering the case for the addition of another veteran at the position.
