Comesana operated most of the 2024/25 season as a holding midfielder in a 4-4-2 system, and while that role should limit his fantasy upside, he ended up posting solid numbers across the board. He started 30 of his 35 Liga appearances and posted career-high marks in goals (four) and total contributions (six) while also delivering value in defensive stats, such as tackles and clearances. Villarreal are likely to bolster their squad depth in the summer ahead of participating in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, but Comesana should be a regular presence in the middle of the park. That said, his fantasy upside will be limited compared to other midfielders due to his lack of scoring contributions.
