Ugrinic has been one of the best midfielders in Switzerland throughout his career, consistently appearing in the Champions League, but rarely making deep runs. He now gets his chance in a top league, joining as a likely starter at the base of the Valencia midfield. He generally played further up the pitch for Young Boys, so his upside could be more limited in a central role with Valencia.
