Tommy Tremble

25-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Carolina Panthers
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Tremble has had ample opportunities to assert himself in Carolina’s underwhelming TE room, and while his blocking ability earns him a sizable share of snaps, Tremble hasn’t demonstrated much upside as a pass catcher. The 2021 third-round draft pick set a career high with 234 receiving yards in 2024 and has scored either two or three TDs in each of the past three seasons. Ja’Tavion Sanders led Carolina’s TEs with 342 receiving yards as a rookie last season, and the receiving gap between Sanders and Tremble is likely to grow, while rookie fifth-round pick Mitchell Evans could encroach on Tremble’s playing time as well. Likely backing up Sanders
TECarolina Panthers
September 8, 2025
Tremble caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Tremble was dealing with a back injury prior to the Panthers' Week 1 loss and played just 29 offensive snaps -- 10 fewer than second-year tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders. Sanders also outpaced him in targets (three to one) and receptions (two to one), making it seem as if Tremble will serve as Carolina's No. 2 tight end this season. Game script likely played a role in Sanders' increased playing time, as Carolina's large deficit in the fourth quarter favored his pass-catching skill set. Unless Carolina's defense improves in a Week 2 matchup against the Cardinals, Tremble figures to serve as the top backup.

2021
Tremble has seen plenty of playing time over his first three NFL seasons, but he doesn’t have much production to show for it. He has logged 23 starts among his 49 appearances but has only 548 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. After opening the 2023 campaign as the backup to Hayden Hurst, Tremble started seven of the Panthers’ last eight games while Hurst recovered from a concussion. Hurst signed with the Chargers in the offseason, but Carolina drafted Ja’Tavion Sanders in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Even if Tremble beats out Sanders for a starting role, Tremble’s unlikely to play a significant role in the passing game considering he has yet to reach 200 receiving yards in a season.
A third-round pick in 2021, Tremble finished last season with 19 catches (on 32 targets) for 174 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games. While that output closely resembled his production as a rookie (20-180-1 on 35 targets), he may be hard-pressed to improve his numbers this year after the Panthers signed veteran tight end Hayden Hurst this offseason. With Hurst slated to start, Tremble and fellow holdover Ian Thomas figure to see less snaps and involvement in the passing game, likely restricting both player's values.
A third-round pick last year, Tremble showed versatility from his reserve role as a rookie, finishing with 20 catches on 35 targets for 180 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing three times for 11 yards and another score in 16 games. Heading into his second season, Tremble again figures to work in tandem with fellow tight end Ian Thomas, but given Thomas' limited pass catching over the past three years, Tremble seemingly boasts more upside, albeit relatively restricted himself.
Despite just 35 catches for 401 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons at Notre Dame, Tremble was selected by the Panthers in the third round of this year's draft. He'll likely begin his career behind both Dan Arnold and Ian Thomas on the depth chart, but his impressive ability as a blocker could earn him reps at tight end over the course of the campaign.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Carolina's TE1 sans Sanders
TECarolina Panthers
November 30, 2024
Tremble will be the Panthers' No. 1 tight end for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers due to Ja'Tavion Sanders being ruled out with a neck injury.
ANALYSIS
Tremble saw an increased snap count in the second half of the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Chiefs after Sanders was carted off the field due to a neck injury, though Tremble caught only one pass on two targets for five yards. Quarterback Bryce Young will likely look to Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette more in the passing game Sunday, but Tremble should see additional looks from Young due to Sanders and Jalen Coker being sidelined with injuries.
