2025 Fantasy Outlook
Brown had at least 453 receiving yards but no more than 567 in each of the past three seasons, starting 29 of 37 games for the Cowboys, Texans and Commanders. He re-signed with Washington on a one-year contract this offseason, after missing the final two months of last season with a kidney injury. Brown, 29, is unlikely to enter training camp as a starter, instead providing depth behind Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel. Even the No. 3 receiver role is no sure thing, with Luke McCaffrey, Jaylin Lane, Michael Gallup, K.J. Osborn and Chris Moore also around to compete for the job. Brown has size (6-foot-2, 225 pounds) and experience working in his favor, but he's unlikely to get many targets even if he ends up playing a lot. Read Past Outlooks

Set for MRI
Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Thursday that Brown (undisclosed) will undergo an MRI, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Quinn did not specify the nature of Brown's issue, but the veteran wideout appeared to go down via a non-contact injury while making a catch on the ground at practice Wednesday. He was able to walk to the sideline under his own strength but then had to be carted into the building. If the MRI reveals a significant injury for Brown, Washington will have to count on one of Luke McCaffrey, Jaylin Lane, Michael Gallup (hamstring), K.J. Osborn or Chris Moore to step up as the No. 3 receiver behind Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel.

Brown showed signs of breaking out in 2022 while with the Cowboys. In that season, he posted 555 yards and three touchdowns. In his first year with the Texans, Brown had a wild season. Due to injuries, the receiver played two games through Week 7. In Weeks 8-10, Brown was on fire, averaging 5.3 catches and 127 yards. Another injury cost Brown two games.Upon his return, he had three games with fewer than 10 yards and one with 82 yards and a touchdown. The overall picture tells us that Brown is very talented but not very reliable. After the Texans traded for Stefon Diggs, Brown will be competing for the No. 4 role. As a result, he would need others to miss time to be viewed as a fantasy factor.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Heading to IR with serious injury
Brown is expected to be placed on injured reserve and is likely to miss the rest of the season with what head coach Dan Quinn described as a "significant internal injury" Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wideout apparently suffered the injury during the Week 13 win over the Titans on Dec. 1. The injury was originally thought to be to Brown's ribs, but further testing over the Commanders' Week 14 bye revealed that the receiver injured his kidney. Brown's 35 receptions rank third among Washington's pass catchers, and his 12.9 yards per reception are second to only Terry McLaurin.
