2025 Fantasy Outlook
Madubuike is coming off his second consecutive Pro Bowl nod and is still in his peak at age 27. His IDP production sank a bit in 2024 relative to his breakout 2023, but he still finished with 6.5 sacks from his spot as the left defensive end. If some of the developmental players around Madubuike take steps forward this year, it will make Madubuike's job easier and he will face fewer double teams. Read Past Outlooks
Won't play Monday
Coach John Harbaugh said Saturday that Madubuike (neck) will be out for Monday night's game against the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, when asked whether Madubuike is a candidate for IR, Harbaugh said "I can't really comment on it right now. I don't know enough to say." The defensive lineman's status is thus cloudy beyond Week 3, a context that represents a concern in terms of Baltimore's pass rush in the coming weeks.

Madubuike's career had been building towards his breakout in 2023, but few could have expected the type of season he had. From the defensive end spot in Baltimore's 3-4 defense, Madubuike racked up 13.0 sacks and two forced fumbles over 726 snaps while adding 38 tackles. It may be difficult to replicate that type of production again - Madubuike had 8.5 career sacks going into 2023 - but he's also entering his prime at age 26. His role and functions should largely remain the same under new defensive coordinator, Zach Orr.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to get franchise tag
The Ravens are likely to place the franchise tag on Madubuike this offseason, Jamison Hensley of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Madubuike emerged as one of the league's better interior pass rushers this season, racking up 13 total sacks. The team has tried to retain him on a long-term deal with no success, so they may instead turn to a shorter -- but costlier -- option. If tagged, Madubuike would be in line to earn roughly $19 million while almost certainly hitting free agency next offseason.
