2025 Fantasy Outlook
A 2021 third-round pick, Brown spent most of the past four years lingering at the bottom of Washington's depth chart and failing to do much even when he got playing time, before finally breaking out at the very end of his rookie contract with a 14-229-1 receiving line in Washington's three playoff games. He also fumbled twice during the playoffs, losing one, but the outburst nonetheless earned him a one-year, $10 million contract that's 95 percent guaranteed. Whether you think of it as high-end No. 3 receiver money or a low-end No. 2 payday, Brown profiles as the No. 3 in Jacksonville behind Brian Thomas and No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter. There is some thought that Hunter's skill on defense will impact his playing time on offense, which could allow Brown to get playing time more in line with a No. 2 WR role, although it's nonetheless hard to envision a high target rate while sharing an offense with Thomas and Hunter. Solid showing in Jags debut
Brown caught three of four targets for 52 yards and rushed twice for six yards during Sunday's 26-10 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old worked as Jacksonville's No. 3 wideout behind Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas and tied for third on the team in targets and receptions while finishing second in receiving yards. Brown joined the Jaguars on a one-year, $10 million deal in March after breaking out in the 2024 playoffs for the Commanders, and he should have a decent chance at a career year in 2025 after posting career highs with 30 receptions and 308 yards last season. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll have much fantasy relevance while operating as Jacksonville's No. 3 wide receiver, however.

Brown is entering his third year with the Commanders. Aside from running a 4.46 40-yard dash, Brown's agility and explosiveness tested slightly below average. At 6-0, 195 pounds, Brown may benefit if settling into a role in the slot. However, with less than 170 yards and 13 receptions in each of his three seasons, it would appear unlikely that Brown is in line for a breakout season. He does have a path to snaps, or at least a part-time role, as the Commanders traded Jahan Dotson in August and sorely lack WR talent beyond Terry McLaurin.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Appears set for significant role
Brown is projected to be the No. 3 wide receiver for the Jaguars this season behind Brian Thomas and rookie Travis Hunter, and he's expected to have a larger role in the passing game than he did in Washington, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
New Jaguars coach Liam Coen thinks the 25-year-old Brown is capable of handling a much more diverse set of assignments than he did with the Commanders. "You didn't really see him work the intermediate that much [in Washington], and I think over the course of this spring, [quarterback] Trevor [Lawrence] and him have gained a little bit of a chemistry on some of those intermediate in-breakers, curls, maybe outcuts," Coen said during minicamp. "Part of the selling point to have him come here was, 'Man, we really want to continue to diversify your route tree and have you do more. You're not just a screen, jet sweep, vertical threat.'" Brown set career highs with 30 catches for 308 yards last year with the Commanders over 16 regular-season games, but he appears to be on track to get enough volume to top those numbers. Even with Hunter joining the Jags' roster as the second overall pick in the 2025 Draft, the offseason departures of Evan Engram, Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis leave plenty of targets up for grabs in Jacksonville.
