2025 Fantasy Outlook
Elliott joined Pittsburgh on a two-year, $6 million deal prior to the 2024 season, but he far out-performed the value of his contract last year alone. Despite battling a hamstring injury late in the year, Elliott set a career-high in tackles while also improving his playmaking with two forced fumbles and three fumbles recovered. Some parts of Elliott's profile are unsustainable, highlighted by a 1.7 percent missed tackle rate (per PFF), the lowest mark by nearly 2.3 percentage points of any other player at the position. Expecting a full repeat of his per game stats in 2025 is likely unrealistic, but Elliott will likely be paired with Juan Thornhill in the back end of the Pittsburgh defense in a near every-down role as a solid contributor in both run defense and coverage. Ruled out for Week 3
Elliott (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Elliott suffered a sprained MCL in the Steelers' Week 1 win over the Jets and will now miss his second straight game. Chuck Clark, Juan Thornhill and Jabrill Peppers should handle safety duties for Pittsburgh.

Elliott has moved around the league over the past few years and will join his fourth team in four seasons after signing a two-year deal with the Steelers during the offseason. He made stops in Detroit and Miami over the past two years and tallied 82 tackles (53 solo), an interception, a fumble recovery and seven pass defenses over 15 appearances with the Dolphins in 2023. The Steelers' safety corps includes Minkah Fitzpatrick and Damontae Kazee, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Elliott take on a starting role in 2024.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Aiming for Week 4 return
Elliott is hoping to return from his sprained MCL in Week 4 against the Vikings, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
ANALYSIS
Elliott has already been ruled out for Week 2 against the Seahawks, but the Steelers haven't provided an official timeline for his return. Positively, he's avoided IR, so he'll presumably miss fewer than four games. However, the team's Week 5 bye could keep Elliott sidelined until Week 6.
