Weekly Rankings: Week 21 Value Meter

Sunday Update Complete

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Matthew Stafford or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

These rankings are only for this week. If you're looking for Playoff Draft Rankings, please consult Jim Conventry's Excellent Article.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are set to receive snaps.

I welcome debate on the rankings in the comments. Please keep it friendly.

Quarterbacks

1.Matthew Stafford LA at SEA

Quarterbacks

1.Matthew Stafford LA at SEA
2.Drake Maye NE at DEN
3.*Sam Darnold SEA vs. LAR
Note: Darnold (oblique) made it through fine on Saturday night, though he wasn't asked to do much in the blowout win. He's officially 'day-to-day' this week. Darnold was limited practice Wednesday and Thursday, but was cleared from the injury list on Friday.
4.*Jarrett Stidham DEN vs. NE
Note: Stidham will be taking over for the injured Bo Nix, in his first real action since 2023.
5.*Bo Nix DEN vs. NE
Note: Nix injured his ankle in the penultimate play of the win over the Bills and now will miss the rest of the playoffs. Nix will have a 12-week recovery after having surgery for his broken ankle.

Running Backs

1.Kyren Williams LA at SEA
2.*Kenneth Walker SEA vs. LAR
Note: Walker will get the lions' share of carries with Zach Charbonnet (knee) out. His potential backups are George Holani (hamstring), Velus Jones and Cam Akers.
3.*Rhamondre Stevenson NE at DEN
Note: Stevenson briefly missed time last week with an eye injury but later returned.
4.*RJ Harvey DEN vs. NE
Note: Broncos starting center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder) will return, which will help the running game at least a little bit.
5.TreVeyon Henderson NE at DEN
6.Blake Corum LA at SEA
7.Jaleel McLaughlin DEN vs. NE
8.*Velus Jones SEA vs. LAR
Note: All three of Jones, George Holani and Cam Akers were elevated from either the practice squad or IR in response to Zach Charbonnet's injury.
9.Tyler Badie DEN vs. NE
10.Cam Akers SEA vs. LAR
11.*George Holani SEA vs. LAR
Note: Holani (hamstring) might return from IR this week with Zach Charbonnet (knee) out. Officially activated from the IR.
12.*J.K. Dobbins DEN vs. NE
Note: The Broncos opened up the practice window for Dobbins this week, designating him to return from IR. Dobbins was not elevated from the IR for this week.
13.*Zach Charbonnet SEA vs. LAR
Note: Charbonnet will miss the rest of the playoffs with a significant knee injury, an injury that they believe might be a torn ACL.

Wide Receivers

1.Puka Nacua LA at SEA
2.Jaxon Smith-Njigba SEA vs. LAR
3.Courtland Sutton DEN vs. NE
4.Stefon Diggs NE at DEN
5.*Davante Adams LA at SEA

6.Kayshon Boutte NE at DEN
7.Cooper Kupp SEA vs. LAR
8.DeMario Douglas NE at DEN

10.*Rashid Shaheed SEA vs. LAR
Note: Shaheed once again made a huge mark on the game without being a big option in the passing offense, starting off the game with a bang on a 97-yard kick return.
11.Marvin Mims DEN vs. NE
12.Kyle Williams NE at DEN
13.*Mack Hollins NE at DEN
Note: Hollins (abdomen) has been activated from the IR, and he'll replace Efton Chism on the active roster.
14.Lil'Jordan Humphrey DEN vs. NE
15.Konata Mumpfield LA at SEA
16.Xavier Smith LA at SEA
17.*Troy Franklin DEN vs. NE
Note: Franklin left last week's win over the Bills with a hamstring injury. Franklin is inactive for Sunday's game against the Pats.

Tight Ends

1.*Hunter Henry NE at DEN
Note: Henry was held to one catch in the win over the Texans. Chances are he'll be targeted more often against the Broncos, with their corners focused on the wideouts.
2.Colby Parkinson LA at SEA
3.*AJ Barner SEA vs. LAR
Note: Teammate Elijah Arroyo (knee) has been activated from the IR, but I don't suspect he'll cut into Barner's time that much.
4.Evan Engram DEN vs. NE
5.Tyler Higbee LA at SEA
6.Austin Hooper NE at DEN
7.Terrance Ferguson LA at SEA

Flex (RB/WR/TE)

19.Jaleel McLaughlin DEN vs. NE
20.Marvin Mims DEN vs. NE
21.*Rashid Shaheed SEA vs. LAR

1.Jason Myers SEA vs. LAR

4.*Los Angeles Rams at SEA
Note: CB Emmanuel Forbes left with a shoulder injury last week and only played four defensive snaps. The Rams are confident that he can play this week. Forbes will play, as will LB Byron Young (knee), who was limited on Friday.
