2025 Fantasy Outlook
In 2024-25, Reaves averaged 20.2 points, 5.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.7 made threes, which are all career highs. He shot 38 percent from deep on a career-high 7.3 attempts per game and made 88 percent from the charity stripe on 5.0 tries a night, also career highs. His production and role didn't change after the addition of Luka Doncic. However, the Lakers may move Reaves to the bench to make room in the first five for Deandre Ayton and/or Marcus Smart, who were both acquired this offseason. If Reaves is forced into a reserve role, his usage might actually go up, as he wouldn't have to share the court with Luka Doncic and LeBron James as often. Given the lofty standards he's set for himself, it'll be difficult for Reaves to take a step forward in fantasy. He has finished as a top-35 player in eight-category leagues in each of the past two seasons, including a top-25 finish last year. Reaves' strong finishes were propelled by missing only nine regular-season games during those two years. Whether he's starting or not, Reaves should be a go-to player whenever he's on the court, but this may be his final year under contract, as he owns a $14.9 million player option for 2026-27. To be re-evaluated in one week
Reaves has been diagnosed with a mild left calf strain and will be re-evaluated in approximately one week, Dan Woike of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear when Reaves picked up the calf injury, though he'll miss at least the next week because of it. With the 27-year-old guard sidelined, Marcus Smart, Jake LaRavia and Gabe Vincent are likely to see increased playing time, while Nick Smith and Bronny James are candidates to enter the rotation. Reaves has appeared in 21 regular-season games thus far, averaging career highs in points (27.8), assists (6.7) and rebounds (5.6) across 36.9 minutes per contest.

2024
2023
2022
Reaves continued to show improvement during his third NBA season, setting new career highs in games played, minutes, points, rebounds, assists, steals and made three-pointers per game. Despite improvement almost across the board, Reaves saw his field-goal percentage take a step backward from a blistering 52.9 percent in 2022-23, to a still highly respectable 48.6 percent in 2023-24. He also went from 39.8 percent from behind the arc in 2022-23, to 36.7 percent in 2023-24. Additionally, he showed an increase from 1.5 turnovers in per game in 2022-23 to 2.1 turnovers per game in 2023-24. Regular season and playoffs combined, Reaves hit the 20-point mark on 23 occasions last season, including a season-high 32-point effort on 10-for-18 shooting in a road win against the Celtics in February. He also logged a minimum of 10 assists on seven occasions, including five double-doubles and one triple-double. He hauled in a minimum of 10 rebounds in five outings, including another three double-doubles for a total of eight double-doubles and one triple-double on the campaign. Reaves knocked down more than three three-pointers in nine outings, including a season-high seven threes on two occasions. Looking ahead, Reaves is set to remain the starting shooting guard for the Lakers, playing a critical role as an offensive contributor. He is unlikely to make much of a push for new highs across the stat sheet, considering he averaged over 30 minutes per game last season and must continue to share the ball with the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and D'Angelo Russell.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be moved
League executives believe Reaves is the top asset in a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sidery notes that Reaves along with some expiring contracts would work in terms of the salary cap. He does question whether the Lakers would be willing to part with Reaves, however, as the 27-year-old guard is averaging 29.3 points, 6.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.9 three-pointers on 52.5 percent shooting.
