Carrington stepped up in a huge way here, as Austin Rapp (undisclosed) was sidelined and Andrew Rohde found himself in foul trouble, which led to the Badgers needing significantly more run from the senior transfer from Tulsa. Not only did Carrington see more minutes than in any other game this season, but he scored his most points since Nov. 21 and shattered his season-best rebounding total. He was also notably 9-for-12 from the charity stripe after attempting only one free-throw in his previous five games combined. It would be easy to write this production off as fluke circumstances, but Carrington at least showed he can answer the bell when called upon in high-stakes scenarios.
