2026 Tournament PreviewThe Badgers are a strange case of Jekyll & Hyde, as they have some of the best wins in the country on the road against Michigan and Illinois, but also endured lopsided road losses to Ohio State and Oregon down the stretch. Leading the way for a top-20 offense in the country (per KenPom) is SDSU transfer Nick Boyd (20. ppg, 3.9 apg), who has already been to a Final Four in a previous stop at FAU. He mans the point for a team with the fourth-lowest offensive turnover rate in the country, and is also a major pest on defense. Returnees John Blackwell (18.1 ppg) and Nolan Winter (13.3 ppg, 8.6 rpg) are also key contributors, though Winter's health is worth monitoring after he went down late in the year with an ankle injury. Even the Badger big men can shoot the three, as six players have cashed 30 or more treys, led by Blackwell (37.4 percent), with X-factor Braden Carrington (42.8 percent) coming on strong late. Being dependent on the three can be a bit dangerous in a tournament setting, however, as Wisconsin can be subject to off nights. The outside shooting will have to stay consistent if Greg Gard's squad wants to get to the second weekend for the first time since 2017.
