Diggins-Smith missed the entire 2023 season due to her pregnancy, but she formed a potent tandem alongside Jewell Loyd and Nneka Ogwumike in Seattle last year and appeared in every game. Diggins-Smith wasn't utilized as much as a scorer -- her average of 15.1 points per game was her lowest mark since 2016 -- but she averaged a career-high 6.4 assists to go with 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. Diggins-Smith was a dominant contributor in Phoenix after being traded from the Wings to the Mercury in 2020, but she missed the end of the 2022 campaign due to a pregnancy that also forced her to miss the entirety of the 2023 season. She alluded to tension with the Mercury late in 2023, so it's no surprise that she opted to sign on with another team -- the Seattle Storm -- this offseason. The 33-year-old has averaged 18.3 points, 5.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 33.1 minutes per game over her last five seasons, so she should have an opportunity to immediately take on a prominent role. She also missed the 2019 season due to a pregnancy and had relatively consistent production in 2020, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her pick up where she left off in 2024.
