Byrne (neck) is expected to play again this season and will meet a specialist in the next couple of days to map out the rest of the timeline for his recovery and ramp-up back to fitness following his surgery from early May, coach Dean Smith said to the media, according to Will Palaszczuk from Sports Radio WFNZ.

Byrne underwent neck surgery in early May after dealing with soreness and is currently in recovery. The defender will meet with a specialist in the coming days to map out a timeline for his rehabilitation and return to full fitness. According to his coach, Byrne is expected to play again this season, and while he remains out, Andrew Privett is seeing increased playing time in the backline.
