El Khannouss scored one goal to go with three shots and three chances created in Sunday's 4-0 victory against Bremen. The forward will however wait to score more with his club since he has been called up by Morocco for the AFCON starting Dec. 21 and ending Jan. 18, according to Actu Foot Afrique.

El Khannouss scored his third goal of the season in 12 Bundesliga appearances on Sunday against Bremen but will have to wait to score a fourth one since he was called by Morocco for the AFCON and will miss all the games until at least the clash against Leverkusen on Jan. 10, although he could miss more games if Morocco perform well in the competition. The forward has been an undisputed starter for Stuttgart this season, therefore his absence will force a change in the starting XI, with Chris Fuhrich as the main option to step in his spot while he is out.
