Martinez is dealing with a quadriceps injury and came off the bench for the first time this season in Wednesday's 4-0 defeat against Inter Miami after starting all of his appearances before this game, coach Pascal Jansen said to the media, according to Mark Radigan from Hudson River Blue.

Martinez had only 30 minutes in his legs for Wednesday's clash against Inter Miami as he is dealing with a quadriceps injury and couldn't earn a starting role because of it. Seeing him play half an hour is somewhat positive and suggests he will be able to feature in Saturday's derby against New York Red Bulls. If he has to miss the game or start on the bench again, Nicolas Fernandez will likely replace him in the striker position.
