Timmy Hill

Hill Motorsports returns for the upcoming season. Owner/driver Hill split this seat with younger brother Tyler in 2023, but he'll take on the full slate of races in 2024. Last season the duo grabbed one Top-10 and six Top-20 finishes in the No. 56 Toyota truck. Hill will look to build on that campaign and hopefully improve upon it. The 25th-place finish in the driver points of 2023 was acceptable, but Hill would like to do even better this season. He's a veteran of close to 500 starts between the top three touring series of NASCAR, so Hill is not short on experience. However, his team situations have always been shoestring operations, and the results show it.

2023 plans have not been announced. Hill and MBM attempted but did not make the field for the Daytona 500 last season.

Raced in 13 events last season with MBM in the No. 66 Ford. No plans have been announced for 2022, but it's believed Hill will take on a similar part-time schedule again for this race team.

MBM Motorsports will shift to Fords this season and it has arranged to have Hill at the helm again for a full season. The 27-year-old driver will pull double duty this season between the Xfinity and the Cup Series, but his points will only count towards the Xfinity Series championship. That will be his main focus. Hill will race for purse money and team owner points in NASCAR's top division as the MBM team continues on its growth plan. Last season's campaign amounted to little more than a start-and-park operation with Hill registering 14 DNFs. The two Top-20 finishes illustrate the team's lack of consistency and lack of performance. Hill will continue to pull this team upward, but gains will be very hard to come by given the scarcity of funding and lack of resources.

MBM Motorsports plans to field their No. 66 Toyota for the full season in 2020. Right now Hill looks to be that primary driver, if not full-season driver for MBM. Hill made just eight Cup Series starts last season, and only six of those came with this same race team. He shared the ride for their roughly half-season schedule in what was a very uneven performance. There's a lot of question marks around this operation with regards to sponsorship, resources and crew chief, so it's a bit of a fuzzy situation. We know MBM is committed to running the full schedule and they have a very capable driver in Hill. The rest will be left for them to sort out as the season goes on. There is good potential here if some things can come together.

The team hasn't announced their 2019 plans as of this writing, but they are expected to attempt the full schedule again this season. The No. 66 Toyota attempted and made all the races but one last season. Hill was the majority pilot with 18 starts. Carl Long was second with six starts. The effort was little more than a start-and-park operation. The team DNF'd 20 of the 33 races, and one DNQ, so it wasn't a competitive ride. The reality is they're probably poised for a similar effort this season.

Hill is a free agent driver in 2018.

Hill signed to race in the Camping World Truck Series for Premium Motorsports in 2016.

Hill signed in late January 2013 to run 18-20 events in the FAS Lane Racing No. 32 Ford. He will compete for Rookie of the Year honors despite the part-time schedule.
