Wins Belgian Grand Prix
Piastri claimed victory in the Belgian Grand Prix, holding off McLaren team mate and title rival Lando Norris in a wet-dry affair at Spa-Francorchamps to extend his Drivers' Championship lead to 16 points, Formula1.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The race would be delayed around 80 minutes in starting due to heavy rain. Once underway, it would be a wet-dry affair. Piastri would get around Norris on lap 1 and run out to a reasonable lead. Teams would begin switching from intermediate tyres to slicks around lap 12 and some different strategies would play out. Piastri would pick to do the remainder of the race on one set of hard tyres and the gambit would pay off. He would hold off the charging Norris over the closing laps for the win at Spa-Francorchamps.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Australian rookie Piastri has quite the shoes to fill in his first season with Formula One, taking former McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo's spot as Lando Norris' teammate for the 2023 campaign. Piastri was quite the phenom in his last season with Formula 2 in 2021, winning a total of six times, earning 252 points, and walking away with the Driver's Championship after just 23 starts in the series. The driver of the No. 81 will have a lot of eyes on his on-track performance this year, as McLaren is famous for their incoming drivers having issues sufficiently adapting to the feeling and handling of the car. In the upcoming season, Piastri's greatest challenge will be learning how to adjust his racing style to fit the capabilities of the MCL36 and where he fits amongst all the new talent on the grid this season.
