It's the third straight first-round stoppage win for Amorim and her fourth overall. She deserves full marks for going out and completely blowing the doors off Demopoulos. Jaqueline landed an immediate takedown and proceeded to dominate her opponent on the mat. Vanessa was complaining that the Brazilian was repeatedly grabbing the inside of her gloves for increased leverage, but referee Jacob Montalvo was right on top of the action and never so much as warned Amorim. The result was another impressive finish for the 29-year-old. Amorim has certainly done enough in her last few bouts to warrant a step up in competition her next time out.

She gave up an early takedown to McKenna, but immediately clamped on a deep triangle choke before transitioning to the armbar that ended the fight. Amorim is much better on the mat than the feet, so it felt like a real mistake by McKenna to give her that opportunity. With back-to-back first-round stoppage wins on her resume, Amorim figures to face better competition her next time out.
