No-shows Abu Dhabi defeat
Light HeavyweightUFC
July 26, 2025
Aslan lost to Billy Elekana via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Perhaps we'll find out post-fight that Aslan was dealing with some sort of injury or illness. If not, there's no way to defend this performance. Entering as a -275 favorite, Ibo stood around for 15 minutes and did nothing. He landed just 28 significant strikes in what was a 15-minute kickboxing match. That's not to say Elekana and his 28 significant strikes landed were much better, but Billy at least tried to make things happen. Aslan did not. Ibo has lost back-to-back fights in a span of five months, negating all the good will he built up with a pair of knockout wins to begin his UFC run.

Elekana fight at Abu Dhabi
Light HeavyweightUFC
May 13, 2025
Aslan is scheduled to compete against Billy Elekana in a light heavyweight fight at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Aslan will look to get back into winning ways after his first-round submission loss to Ion Cutelaba in February. Before then, the former had a strong 2-0 with finishes over opponents Anton Turkalj (third-round TKO) and Raffael Cerqueira (first-round TKO).
Suffers first UFC defeat
Light HeavyweightUFC
February 22, 2025
Aslan lost to Ion Cutelaba via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 2:51 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Aslan is now three fights into his UFC run, and it's quite clear he's going to employ the same game plan every single time out. Ibo steps into the Octagon and wings bombs in hopes he can get his opposition out of there in short order. It didn't happen here, as Cutelaba survived and landed a pair of takedowns which eventually led to the submission. Aslan is going to have to stay off of his back if he's going to have any prayer moving forward. He drops to 2-1 with the company.
Set to face Cutelaba

November 25, 2024
Aslan will take on Ion Cutelaba in a light heavyweight bout at a UFC event on February 22 in Seattle, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Aslan is off to a great start in his UFC career, sitting at a perfect 2-0 with wins over Anton Turkalj and Raffael Cerqueira, the latter coming as an especially easy victory via standing TKO (punches) in round one. He'll look to make it three straight against Cutelaba, who is also coming off a victory.
Instant UFC 308 victory
Light HeavyweightUFC
October 26, 2024
Aslan defeated Raffael Cerqueira via TKO (punches) at 0:51 of Round 1 at UFC 308 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Aslan picked up a knockout win over Anton Turkalj in his UFC debut in March in Atlantic City, but he had to work for it. Things came much easier on this evening. Aslan pushed Cerqueira up against the fence moments after the opening bell rang and unloaded with everything but the kitchen sink. The Brazilian refused to return fire, so Aslan kept pumping him with power shots until referee Marc Goddard had seen enough. The end result is great, but the level of competition Ibo was facing has to be taken into consideration. We aren't going to get a clear read on Aslan's potential until he gets matched up with some better opposition. That will likely happen his next time out.
Set to face Cerqueira

August 16, 2024
Aslan will face Raffael Cerqueira in a light heavyweight fight at UFC 308 on Oct. 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Aslan debuted at the UFC level as a winner when he defeated Anton Turkalj via TKO when the two met in late March this year. This will be his 15th pro fight, but only his second in the UFC, so it remains to be seen what his potential will be at this level.
