Another shot at UFC debut
WelterweightUFC
April 21, 2025
Gustafsson (undisclosed) will take on Jeremiah Wells in a welterweight matchup at UFC Vegas 107 on May 31, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Gustafsson earned his contract via Contender Series back in August of 2024, but he had to pull out of his scheduled debut against Preston Parsons the following January due to undisclosed reasons. Now presumably healthy, Gustafsson will take on a fighter in Wells who is 4-2 under the UFC banner but coming off back-to-back losses. Gustafsson stands four inches taller, but the two have nearly identical reach. Staying upright will be key for Gustafsson, as Wells averages over three takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time in the UFC.

UFC debut scheduled
WelterweightUFC
October 15, 2024
Gustafsson is scheduled to compete against Preston Parsons in a welterweight fight at UFC Vegas 101 on Jan. 11, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Gustafsson earned himself a UFC contract by defeating Pat Pytlik via second-round TKO as a participant in Dana White's Contender Series. For the Swede's promotion debut, he gets a welterweight who has alternated between wins and losses while going 2-3 across his five fights.
Big knees lead to finish and contract
WelterweightUFC
August 21, 2024
Gustafsson defeated Pat Pytlik via TKO (knees) at 3:20 of Round 2 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of four fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Gustafsson wore his opponent down in Round 1 and likely won the frame on the basis of control time in the clinch and short strikes. He continued marching forward in Round 2, and despite eating a big shot, was able to force another clinch. This time, he landed a hard elbow, followed by multiple big knees that would go on to end the proceedings. Gustafsson now enters the welterweight division at the age of 33 after most recently competing on the Swedish regional circuits.
