ANALYSIS
Coming off two consecutive wins, Magomedov will carry a five-inch reach advantage over Pereira, who lost his most recent fight but had won eight consecutive bouts prior to the loss.

ANALYSIS
Magomedov has very poor cardio, but he does possess a well-rounded offensive skill set, and we saw that in that fight. He made some headway on the feet in Round 1 before Ferreira came storming back in the second frame. Abus wisely went back to his grappling game in Round 3, picking up a pair of takedowns before eventually choking Ferreira out with the arm-triangle. Already 34 years old, Magomedov's long-term upside is capped by his age, but he's now 3-2 in his first five UFC bouts and the two setbacks have come against elite competition in Sean Strickland and Caio Borralho.

ANALYSIS
Magomedov's new opponent needed a replacement for the latter's next fight, which was scheduled against Roman Kopylov. Magomedov began his 2024 strong with an easy win over Warlley Alves at UFC Vegas 92.

ANALYSIS
Magomedov has shown plenty of ability in his brief UFC run, but cardio has been a serious problem. It was no such issue in this fight against Alves because he spent nearly the entire bout in a dominant position on the mat. Give Abus credit, he recognized a flaw in his opponent and exploited it to the tune of six takedowns for 11:56 worth of control time. That said, this performance, while impressive, doesn't answer any of our concerns regarding Magomedov moving forward. The 33-year-old improves to 2-2 in his first four UFC bouts.

ANALYSIS
Magomedov has lost his last two events, against Sean Strickland and Caio Borralho, and has absolutely no margin for error if he wants to extend his time with the company. He hasn't won since defeating Dustin Stoltzfus in his UFC debut on Sep. 2022.
