2025 Fantasy Outlook
Milano appeared in only three games with the Capitals in the 2024-25 regular season, missing most of the year due to an upper-body injury. However, he was a healthy scratch frequently at the beginning of the campaign and isn’t guaranteed to have a roster spot in 2025-26. Assuming he’s fully recovered, Milano will compete for a bottom-six spot during training camp. Still, he probably won’t do enough offensively to warrant much fantasy attention unless injuries pile up and he receives an opportunity to play higher in the lineup. Read Past Outlooks
Won't play Thursday
Milano has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Nashville due to personal reasons, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
ANALYSIS
Milano appeared in each of the last three games, recording an assist, a hit and a minus-1 rating during that time. He'll be unavailable for the Capitals' final game before the Olympic break, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in action when the team resumes play in late February.

Milano has always been a strong shooter, but he was fantastic last season with 15 goals on 50 shots (30 percent) last season, a rate that isn't close to sustainable. Still, it was his third straight season with 10-plus goals, and he averaged 0.50 points per game during that stretch despite mostly being stuck in a bottom-six role. The 28-year-old winger is slated for similar duties next year with the Capitals but should handle power-play work once again. Thus, Milano maintains usage in deeper formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Slow start in camp
Milano has gotten off to a slow start this preseason, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Capitals coach Spencer Carbery, Milano "needs to ramp it up" before the start of the regular season. While the winger's roster spot appears safe heading into the season, he could see a diminished role early in the year. Milano tallied a career-high 15 goals and 23 points in 49 games last season.
