2025 Fantasy Outlook
Marred by injuries and limited to just 34 games, Greenway's 2024-25 campaign was a forgettable one. He managed just eight points in those outings (three goals and five assists), but the 6-foot-6, 230-pound winger still made his presence felt with 100 hits and 29 blocked shots. Greenway was a mainstay on Buffalo's penalty kill when healthy, logging 2:35 short-handed ice time per game, the 5th-highest rate in the NHL. His two-way game is valuable to the Buffalo coaching staff, but you can avoid him on draft day unless your league rewards carnage. Read Past Outlooks
Set to miss another game
Greenway (lower body) is slated to miss Thursday's game against the Kings, NHL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Greenway has been on a load management plan recently after his sports hernia surgery that he underwent during the offseason, and he'll be unavailable for a third consecutive game. It's not yet clear when he'll return to action, but his next opportunity to do so will be Saturday against Montreal.

After a disappointing 2022-23 campaign, Greenway bounced back to his usual level last year, recording 10 goals and 28 points in 67 contests. The winger missed 15 or more games for a third straight season, though that is likely a product of his heavy playing style, which also returned 141 hits and 64 PIM. He's best suited to a third-line role, though that could still be a productive one on a young Sabres team primed to take a step forward offensively after struggling in 2023-24. Greenway's ceiling is right around 30 points, but his fantasy value is stronger in formats that reward the rough stuff -- just don't expect a breakout in his age-27 campaign.
