2025 Fantasy Outlook
Eberle missed a major chunk of last season with a pelvic injury, but he was productive when he was on the ice. He finished with nine goals and 17 assists in 42 games, which is a 51-point pace over a full 82-game season. That’s more points that the 35-year-old has produced in all but one of his last six seasons. Injury issues have mostly evaded the 15-year NHL veteran -- he missed only seven games combined over the prior three seasons before last year's long-term absence. Regardless, even though he seems to have strong-armed the undefeated Father Time so far, his age is definitely at the point where decline could come fast and furious. That being said, as long as he stays in the Kraken's middle six and on the power play, a 40-point projection seems realistic, as long as he stays healthy. Read Past Outlooks
One of each Sunday
Eberle scored a goal, recorded an assist and put three shots on net in Sunday's 4-2 win over New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Seattle's captain played a strong role in his crew's victory, as Eberle picked up the lone helper on Matty Beniers' goal before potting an empty-net tally to secure the 4-2 victory. With Sunday's pair of points, Eberle is up to 18 goals, 16 assists, 110 shots on goal, 36 hits and 25 blocks across 49 games this season. Since a brief two-game absence from the lineup due to an upper-body injury, he has six points across his last eight games. He is on pace to finish the season above the 50-point mark for the second time across five years with the Kraken, giving him a solid outlook in fantasy moving forward. With at least a point in back-to-back games, Eberle is a quality streaming option across most fantasy formats.

For the first time during his three-year stint in Seattle, Eberle failed to reach the 20-goal threshold, though he was still able to rack up 44 points, including 12 with the man advantage. The veteran winger should remain in a top-six role heading into the 2024-25 campaign, in addition to filling a spot with the No. 1 power-play unit. All that points to the backhand expert getting back to being a 20-goal producer this season, especially playing alongside either Matty Berniers or Chandler Stephenson. Long-term fantasy players may want to pass on Eberle at this point in his career but he should offer solid value in redraft formats.

Named captain
Eberle was announced as the Kraken's captain prior to puck drop Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Eberle becomes just the second captain in franchise history after the organization went without one for the last two seasons. The veteran has served as an alternate since the organization's founding back in 2021-22, serving under Mark Giordano in that inaugural campaign. No doubt the winger will be hoping to lead by example, including getting back over the 20-goal mark after missing that threshold last year.
