2025 Fantasy Outlook
Quick is at the stage of his career where he decides on his future on a year-by-year basis. The 39-year-old will return for 2025-26 after going 11-7-2 with a 3.17 GAA and a .893 save percentage over 24 appearances. Those numbers aren't anything special, but Quick just works well with the Rangers, and he's rarely asked to be anything more than a backup behind Igor Shesterkin. If the Rangers can rebound from an oddly poor year, Quick will continue to be a reliable streaming goalie in fantasy, though managers in standard formats probably won't need to roster him on a full-time basis since he won't see a heavy workload. Gets starting nod versus Isles
Quick will be between the pipes for Thursday's home clash with the Islanders, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Quick was mired in a 12-game losing streak before securing a 4-3 win over the Bruins on Monday. With the veteran netminder struggling, he has been sharing the crease with Spencer Martin while Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is on the shelf. Over the last eight seasons, Quick has managed to reach the 20-win threshold just once and is unlikely to do so in 2025-26.

Quick is living out his childhood dream. He's the all-time wins leader (393) for American netminders. His name is etched on Lord Stanley three times. Now, he's playing for his favorite team growing up. Quick's 18-6-2 record, 2.62 GAA and .911 save percentage in 27 appearances 2023-24 was a true renaissance for the 38-year-old netminder. He's on a one-year deal to play exactly the same role he performed last year. Yes, there's another year on the odometer, but Quick should be able to deliver similar results in deep formats in 2024-25.
