Jett Luchanko

19-Year-Old CenterC
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Luchanko started the 2024-25 season in the NHL after the Flyers selected him with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 draft class. He went pointless with a minus-3 rating in four games. He returned to OHL Guelph, where he put up 56 points in 46 regular-season outings, before spending the rest of the season with AHL Lehigh Valley. Luchanko remains a candidate to make the Flyers in 2025-26, but the 18-year-old forward could spend more time in the minors first, which limits his fantasy appeal for the time being. 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, Luchanko combines blazing speed with superb playmaking abilities. He's solid without the puck too, which gives him the potential to develop into a great two-way center. What should be expected from him in 2024-25, though? Initially, it seemed like it would be a campaign focused on him developing in the OHL, but Luchanko may have forced the Flyers to hasten his timetable after a strong training camp. He's still not guaranteed to stick with Philadelphia for the full campaign -- until he plays in his 10th NHL contest of the season, this won't count as the first year of his entry-level contract -- so the Flyers might return him to the junior level before he hits that mark if he isn't quite ready. However, his upside is high enough to make him worth keeping a close eye on, and potentially even grabbing now in deeper keeper leagues.

Luchanko, who was plagued with a groin injury during the summer, is not on the ice at rookie camp Thursday, per Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports.
ANALYSIS
Luchanko was selected with the 13th overall pick in 2024 and made the team out of training camp last season. The Flyers sent him down to OHL Guelph after he participated in four October games, failing to garner a point. Luchanko had 21 goals and 35 assists in 46 regular-season appearances with the Storm and was recalled to AHL Lehigh Valley when Guelph failed to make the OHL playoffs. Luchanko had three goals in nine regular-season contests with the Phantoms and excelled in the playoffs with six assists in seven games. Luchanko has a huge opportunity to start the 2025-26 season with the Flyers if he is able to get healthy.
