Samuel Ersson and Ivan Fedotov were Philadelphia’s No. 1 and No. 2 options, respectively, in goal during 2024-25. They’re still under contract, so where does that leave Vladar, who signed a two-year contract with the Flyers over the summer? Vladar was okay, but not great as the backup with Calgary in 2024-25, posting a 12-11-6 record with a 2.80 GAA and a .898 save percentage in 30 outings. Vladar should start the season as the Flames 1A and will mentor young phenom Dustin Wolf as they platoon behind a rebuilding squad. Expectations will be low, but he could deliver league-average totals in a 40-start season.
