The team’s transition from Arizona to Utah didn’t do anything to dampen Keller’s production. The 27-year-old set a career high with 90 points across 81 appearances while reaching the 30-goal mark for the third consecutive campaign. Although Utah failed to make the playoffs in its inaugural season, the club can take solace in the knowledge Keller is under contract through 2027-28 in a deal that’s looking increasingly team-friendly -- he comes with a $7.15 million cap hit. Utah also has some emerging talent up front in Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther, which gives Keller some skilled forwards to work with. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Keller surpass the 80-point milestone for the third time in four years, though his plus/minus remains a risk, as this is a group that’s managed to make the playoffs just once in the past 13 seasons, if you include the Coyotes’ history. After operating above a point-per-game pace for the first time in his career in 2022-23, Keller slipped below that milestone last campaign, generating 33 goals and 43 assists in 78 outings. He had 15 more points than Nick Schmaltz, who finished second on the team. Keller also earned career highs with 30 power-play points and 228 shots on net. Fantasy managers won't get much help from Keller in blocked shots or hits, but from a scoring perspective, there is plenty of value despite question marks surrounding his supporting cast. If Utah's young players develop as expected, Keller should surpass 80 points in 2024-25. The team's defensive upgrades in the offseason could also improve Keller's plus-minus rating, which was minus-20 last season.
