2025 Fantasy Outlook
Herbert and nine other players -- including Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Adrian Meronk -- were newcomers to the LIV Golf league in 2024, with Herbert joining the all-Australian Ripper GC just days before the first tournament in Mayakoba in February. Herbert finished T6 in three of the last six LIV Golf tournaments of the season (Houston, Greenbrier and Chicago), but he finished just outside the Lock Zone at 25th in the individual season standings. While Herbet was one of the best putters in the league in 2024, he was near the bottom of the field in both driving accuracy and GIR, two areas he’ll need to improve on in 2025. Herbert’s only major outing in 2024 was the PGA Championship (received a special invitation), and he managed to finish T43. He is not guaranteed to be in the field for any of the four majors in 2025. Ascends to T2 in Mexico City
April 27, 2025
Herbert carded a 10-under 61 in the final round at LIV Golf Mexcio City to finish tied with Bryson DeChambeau for second.
ANALYSIS
Herbert was three-under through the first two rounds of the tournament, but the 29-year-old Australian was outstanding on Championship Sunday. He went four-under through the back nine before going five-under from holes 10 through 13 and finished things off with a birdie on the par-5 16th. It was Herbert's best outing at a LIV Golf tournament this season and his third top-5 finish, and his efforts kept Ripper GC in contention for the team trophy. He'll look to carry his momentum into next weekend at LIV Golf Korea.

2022
Herbert finished out the season with five-straight made cuts. The Aussie has a chance to make some noise on Tour if he can string some low rounds together. Herbert possesses an excellent short game, so if he can hit it straight and far off the tee, he has a leg up on the competition around the pin.
Herbert wasn't much about consistency this past season as he made the cut in just half of his 20 starts, but an early season win at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship set him up for the entire year. After that win however, Herbert's results were less than ideal. Herbert posted only one top-10 during the entire 2022 portion of the season and he was generally a non-factor when making the cut. On a positive note, he did post a pair of T15s in two of his final three starts. Herbert is only 26, and this past season was his first on the PGA Tour, so he might have a fairly high ceiling. With that said, the bar was set pretty high, so a wait and see approach might be better this season.
Herbert already has two European Tour wins under his belt at just 25 years old, but he'll earn PGA Tour status for the first time this season after tying for fourth at the Albertsons Boise Open during the first leg of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals. The Aussie currently paces the entire Euro Tour in putts per GIR while ranking second in average putts per round in 2021, though he's outside the top 100 in driving accuracy and GIR percentage.
