2025 Fantasy Outlook
DeChambeau’s success in 2024 was defined by his performances at the four major events, rather than in the LIV Golf League. He won two LIV Golf tournaments (Greenbrier and Chicago) in 2023, but he finished in the top-three only once in 2024 (LIV Golf Nashville), though his Crushers GC did manage to win three team events (Jeddah, Hong Kong and Chicago). However, DeChambeau more than made up for it in the majors, finishing in the top-10 at the Masters and PGA Championship before beating out Rory McIlroy to capture his second U.S. Open title. The only blemish to DeChambeau’s 2024 campaign was his failure to make the cut at The Open Championship at Royal Troon, though that particular major has been the most elusive for the two-time major champion. DeChambeau finished the 2024 LIV Golf season eighth in the individual season standings, led the league in driving distance (323.5 yards) and finished in the top-10 in GIR and birdies per round. Share of 11th at LIV Golf UK
DeChambeau logged a two-under 69 in the final round at LIV Golf UK to finish in a seven-way share of 11th.
ANALYSIS
DeChambeau finished the tournament second in GIR behind eventual winner Joaquin Niemann, but the former's putting game let him down as he ranked T42 in that category. It was a disappointing performance by DeChambeau's standards, especially given how well he fought at The Open to crack into the top-10. He sits in a distant third behind Niemann and Jon Rahm in the LIV Golf individual standings with 136.24 points heading into Chicago, where DeChambeau finished T6 in 2024 and won in 2023.
