Nick Emmanwori

22-Year-Old SafetyS
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Visions of Jamal Adams are illustrated when Seattle's brass spoke about Emmanwori's role in the defense, as he can line up at safety, nickelback and in the box if needed. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive back ran a 4.38 second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, and the tape shows fluid hips and a keen eye for the ball. With extreme hype in tow, Emmanwori has plenty to prove, but he may not garner a full-time role in the defense immediately because safeties Coby Bryant and Julian Love remain in the fold. Excels as rookie
SSeattle Seahawks
February 19, 2026
Emmanwori finished the 2025 regular season with 81 tackles (56 solo), 2.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups and an interception through 14 games. He added 13 tackles (10 solo) and four pass breakups through three postseason outings.
ANALYSIS
Emmanwori was a finalist for Defensive Rookie of the Year and played a significant role in the Seahawks' path to the Super Bowl. The second-round pick is officially listed as a defensive back, and his ability to move around the formation allowed the Seahawks to keep him on the field regardless of the situation. Emmanwori proved to be a capable run-stopper and pass-rusher when operating as a linebacker, and his coverage skills exceeded expectations as a rookie while still having some room to grow. His flexibility in the formation was vital to keeping offenses guessing. We should expect Emmanwori to continue his upward trajectory in the 2026 season.

Second in DROY behind Schwesinger
SSeattle Seahawks
February 7, 2026
Emmanwori earned seven first-place votes and finished second in the Defensive Rookie of the Year award race with 199 points behind Carson Schwesinger, per the Associated Press.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't a particularly close race, as Schwesinger earned 441 points and 40 first-place votes to become the sixth player in the last 45 seasons to win the DROY award after not being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. However, the DROY race is perhaps far from the mind of Emmanwori, who was officially cleared to play in Super Bowl LX against the Patriots on Sunday after overcoming an ankle injury that he sustained during Wednesday's practice. The Seahawks' rookie defender has logged eight total tackles, four pass defenses and one fumble recovery across Seattle's two playoff games.
