Darious Williams

32-Year-Old CornerbackCB
Los Angeles Rams
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The veteran cornerback had a rough start to his first season back with the Rams after signing a three-year, $22.5 million deal last offseason. Williams landed on injured reserve to start the year with a hamstring injury, and in 12 games after his return, he recorded 45 tackles and an interception among seven pass defenses. The 32-year-old has plenty of competition with Cobie Durant, Ahkello Witherspoon, Derion Kendrick and even Quentin Lake all looking for snaps at cornerback. Read Past Outlooks

Estimated to practice Wednesday

December 10, 2025
Williams (tibia) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams was unable to play in the Rams' Week 14 win over the Cardinals due to a tibia injury, but his estimated ability to practice in full in Wednesday's walkthrough puts him on track to return against the Lions on Sunday. Ahkello Witherspoon and Josh Wallace will likely see their defensive snaps cut, assuming Williams is cleared to play Week 15.

The veteran cornerback put up huge numbers in his final season with Jacksonville: 19 passes defended, four interceptions and 53 tackles, all while playing in every game for the third time in four seasons. Williams chose to return to the Rams for his second stint with the team, as the 31-year-old signed a three-year deal to replace Ahkello Witherspoon and form a new-look secondary alongside another new face in Tre'Davious White. Former starting corners Quentin Lake and Cobie Durant are returning for the Rams, but Williams should be locked into a starting role as the team's alpha at the position.
Williams signed with the Jags on a three-year, $30 million contract ahead of last season, and he enjoyed a strong first year with the team. He didn't record any interceptions -- he has just six across 63 career NFL games -- but logged 53 tackles (35 solo) and a career-high 16 passes defensed. Williams should again serve as Jacksonville's top cornerback in 2023 but is unlikely to have much IDP viability given the lack of picks and lower tackle totals at the position.
The 28-year-old joined the Jaguars on a three-year, $30 million deal this offseason and will be part of a starting tandem at cornerback opposite Shaquill Griffin. Williams emerged as a starter for the Rams over the past two years, and he totaled 113 tackles, 23 passes defensed and four interceptions in 30 games. He's unlikely to be much of a factor as an IDP contributor but will play a critical role in Jacksonville's secondary.
Despite being considered undersized at 5-9, 187, Williams turned in an impressive 2020 campaign and all but locked up a starting gig to begin 2021. However, while he graded as the fourth-best cornerback on Pro Football Focus, his fantasy production wasn't as impressive. He finished the season with 44 tackles (37 solo), four interceptions and 14 pass defenses. With John Johnson and Troy Hill moving on to the Browns during free agency, Williams will be called upon to take another step forward this year.

Facing prove-it year
CBLos Angeles Rams
August 19, 2025
Williams could be a cut candidate following the 2025 season, Sarah Barshop of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams is entering the second season of a three-year contract with the Rams, and he has no guaranteed money beyond 2025. He is in line to start, the Rams have plenty of depth at corner to put pressure on Williams, a group led by Quentin Lake and Cobie Durant. Williams was limited to 12 regular-season games in 2024, but he did manage one interception and seven pass breakups.
