Best NFL Week 17 PrizePicks Plays
Best PrizePicks Picks current as of 7:15 AM ET Sunday.
Ashton Jeanty 73.5 Rushing Yards (MORE)
This is the first time all year I've played a Jeanty number, and yes, we're buying at peak value after he ran for a whopping 128 yards against the vaunted Texans defense last week. Still, this matchup is elite, and I think he could flirt with back-to-back 100-yard games.
Some might worry the Raiders ease his workload with the season effectively over, but I don't see that happening. I think they want him to finish his rookie season strong and carry momentum into next year. The run defense for the Giants has been a frequent topic in my articles, and they remain one of the worst units in the league.
Trey McBride 0.5 Touchdowns (MORE)
McBride is coming off his worst game of the season, finishing without a touchdown and only 27 receiving yards. This is about as prime a rebound spot as you can get for a player who, based on his interviews this week, is clearly motivated to bounce back.
He draws a dream matchup against the team allowing the most touchdowns and yards to tight ends. That's bad news for the Bengals, as McBride has been a machine with Jacoby Brissett under center.
Josh Downs 9 Fantasy Score (MORE)
Do we dare go back to last week's Monday Night Football hero? You bet. We talked about how soft the matchup was against San Francisco, one of the worst teams in the league at defending slot receivers. Rivers leaned on Downs and Alec Pierce heavily, and Downs delivered with five receptions on nine targets for 65 yards.
Now he gets another ideal situation, with the Jaguars and their pass-funnel defense ranking as the third softest matchup for slot wide receivers. We needed confirmation that Rivers would start despite the Colts being eliminated, and that is indeed the case. I don't see the game plan changing, so Downs should keep getting peppered, and we could again hit our number in the first half.
