Great qualifying would put Hadjar eighth on the starting grid. However, poor race strategy would completely undo any hopes of grabbing points Sunday in Belgium. The Racing Bulls youngster would run his opening stint longer than most and pit on lap 13. Hadjar would then switch to medium tyres in a two-stop gambit. The mediums would fall off rather quickly and soon Hadjar would be back on pit road for new hard tyres on lap 20. That would bury him deep in the field and he'd ride P20 the rest of the way, losing a lap to the leaders. Hadjar will look for better results next round in Hungary.
