The Alpine youngster would start 15th on the grid in wet conditions and roll the intermediate tyres until his lap 12 stop. Colapinto would climb back to P15 but tyre degradation would send him sliding backward and back onto pit road for a second time on lap 28. The two-stop strategy on a day when most teams were employing one stop would be his undoing. Colapinto would be mired deep in the field the rest of the afternoon and could only manage 19th-place, the last car on the lead lap by the finish. He'll look to rebound next round out in Hungary.
