2025 Fantasy Outlook
Douglas enters the 2025 season as one of the Red Raiders' top receiving options alongside teammate Coy Eakin, forming one of the best duos in the conference for returning quarterback Behren Morton. Last year's top receiver, Josh Kelly, has moved on to the NFL, which means that Douglas should be much more active on third downs and in the red zone. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound wideout amassed 877 yards and six touchdowns on 60 catches a year ago, and there's certainly room for growth in the touchdown department. Texas Tech always has a great offense, but they were particularly lethal under Joey McGuire in 2024, compiling 463 yards and 37.6 points per game, good for fourth in the nation. Douglas is anticipated to be a centerpiece in one of the most explosive offenses in the country, and his existing rapport with Morton should make him a useful fantasy piece for most fantasy formats. Douglas had just one catch; however, it was an impressive one. The 61-yard touchdown was his first score of the season. With 13 targets through three games, there's been other Texas Tech receivers who have had a bigger impact early in the season. That could be due to the level of competition which changes next week. Look for Douglas to be more involved as the Red Raiders play Utah on the road. The game is expected to have a ton of offense and Douglas' skill on the outside will be needed.
