Barnes completed 17 of 29 passes for 189 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions during Friday's 42-37 defeat to Colorado State. He also had 24 rushes for 185 yards with another score.

Making the start in place of Spencer Petras (undisclosed), Barnes delivered another impressive performance with four total touchdowns while rushing for over 180 yards for a second straight week.
